Mammogram and Trials: Free and Low costs for breast Cancer Awareness month

1. Investigation or trials  Breast cancer survivors (Hispanic or latinas)

Latina breast cancer survivor (18+ and diagnosed within the past 10 years)

(18+ and diagnosed within the past 10 years), 

 The program lasts 6-8 weeks and can be completed at each couple’s pace. Couples are compensated for their participation.

Participating in this free program could make a significant difference in the lives of many Latina breast cancer survivors and their partners.

4.  Free-HER test:

• The HER2 ( human epidermal growth factor 2)is a protein that regulates human cells telling them when to grow and when not to grow. A genetic mutation (random) of these HER2 makes these cells grow even when they shouldn’t. (positive HER2)and are more aggresive than others.

7. Mammogram free or low costs: If health insure: Free 2D digital mammogram (Mount Sinai medical center: 305-535-3434 (Miami Beach o Aventura hospitals ) si es paciente que paga por si mismo: Mamografia $50 2D, $100 (ultrasonido de mamas) 

 Patients who participate in clinical trails have a possibility to obtain a health improvement individually, their participation will benefit health status in future patients. Some of the newest, most innovative cancer treatments are available only through clinical trials. Those require approval by an ethics committee, requires oversight with regard to compliance with the protocol, and involves the support of extra research staff in the monitoring of care, although a monetary compensation for the time, and a better understating of their disease and diagnosis.
